Phyllis Hanson, John Heuser featured on cover of JCB

Researchers Phyllis Hanson and John Heuser have published a paper in the Jan. 21 issue of the Journal of Cell Biology showing that proteins called ESCRT-III play a vital role in the biogenesis of multivesicular bodies. Their paper makes extensive use of the deep-etch electron microscopy technique pioneered by Prof. Heuser and utilized by his lab to this day.
