Post-Doctoral Positions

Membrane trafficking and diabetes. We invite applications for a post-doctoral position on a newly funded NIH grant. New ideas have emerged that suggest a connection between the membrane trafficking of fatty acid transporters, the regulation of lipid metabolism and diabetes. The funded project focuses on the metabolism of fatty acids and the endocytic trafficking of CD36. An important goal of the work is to delineate the role of Rab GTPases and their exchange factors in determining metabolic fates of fatty acids. This is a joint project to be carried out in the Department of Cell Biology and the Department of Medicine, Division of Nutritional Science, at Washington University School of Medicine. An advanced degree is required (MD or PhD).
